Here's a guide to help you with the application of mink lashes with our lash accessories kit.
Trim the Lashes
Lash extensions always come in different sizes and shapes. While mink lashes are flexible and can easily fit any eye shape, you still need to cut off excess band if it's larger of longer than your eye size. You don't have to use the lashes the same way except you have bigger eyes and the lashes fit perfectly. Make sure you trim the lashes till there is no excess lash band before you apply it to your lash line to avoid discomfort or visible lash band hanging off the end of your eyes.
How to do it:
- Hold the lashes up to your eyelid
- Measure the strip against your lid
- Use your scissors to trim off the excesses
Apply Lash Glue to the Band
If you are used to just slathering some glue on the band of your lashes and sticking them on the kids, you need to stop. Don't rush to just get the 3D mink lashes on your kids as you need to layer it strategically to achieve more finesse.
How to do it:
- Apply a little amount of lash adhesive to the lash band
- Let it sit for about 30 seconds or a minute before applying it to your eyelids
- Ensure that the glue is still sticky, but not wet
- Tap your finger on the glue to check if it’s slightly dry
Use a Handheld Mirror for the Application
Applying 3D mink lashes can be difficult and require much practice sometimes. You may need to the lashes a couple of times before getting them perfectly laid. It’s important to get the lash band close to your lash band properly to prevent getting an unnatural look at the end.
How to do it:
- Place a handheld mirror on a flat surface
- Look downward at the mirror to get a better view of your lash line
- Avoid closing your eyes completely when applying your mink 3D lashes
- Apply the lashes to your lash line
Make the Band Disappear
After applying the lashes on your lash line, the lash band may still be visible. Get some black eyeliner to fix the visible lash band.
How to do it:
- Apply some black eyeliner on the band of your lash extension and your eyelids. This will help to make your lash pop while covering up the lash band. Use only liquid eyeliner instead of crayons or pencil liner.
